Kansai International Film Festival : ウィキペディア英語版 | Kansai International Film Festival The Kansai International Film Festival was a one-time film festival held in 2007 at the Planet Station in Osaka, Japan with funding from the Osaka Prefectural government. It was the first festival in Japan to exclusively feature Japanese films by western film makers. The festival featured 32 films from around the world.〔 Some of the films featured at the festival were Pamela Valente's "Rock N Tokyo", Norman England's "The iDol (film)", Darryl Knickrehm's "The Laborer (Rodosha)", and Rachael Lucas' "Bondi Tsunami" ==Staff== The festival was founded by Kobe-based film director, Darryl Knickrehm and Kansai Time Out writer, Matthew Kaufman.〔 〕 The festival was organized by Darryl Knickrehm, under the supervision of Kiyomaro Kawano, the director of the Osaka branch of the Short Shorts Film Festival. Ayumi Okada was the festival coordinator.
